Rhoda & The Bad Seeds was formed by Samantha Peterson and Kevin Douglas Lay in 1979, while both were living/working at the legendary alternative art and music space, Hard Art. As part of the early pre-9:30 Club scene, they played at dc space, Madams Organ, Hard Art, Columbia Station, and ultimately played the 9:30 regularly before disbanding in late 1980.
